Championship transfer round-up: January 17th

Updated: Jan 20, 2020

This is Today's Championship round-up, going through all the completed ins-and-outs and rumours from Championship clubs.

Here are today's completed transfers:

Hull City defender Brandon Fleming has left to join struggling Bolton on loan until the end of the season. He is a youth product of the Tigers' academy and made his senior debut back in 2017 for the club.

Stoke midfielder Ryan Woods has joined Millwall on loan until the end of the season. He rejoins Gary Rowett, the man who brought him to Stoke when he was in charge of the club. Woods has a wealth of Championship experience, having previously played for Brentford.

Sam Hart has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan from Blackburn for the rest of the season. The defender, 23, was on loan in League One last season with Rochdale and Southend, but since returning to Blackburn he has struggled for first-team opportunities.

Hull City have signed Mallik Wilks on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal. The winger, 21, joined Barnsley in the summer from Leeds United.

Stoke City have signed Blackpool midfielder Jordan Thompson on a two and a half year deal. He joins for an undisclosed fee.

Huddersfield have signed Lincoln left-back Harry Toffolo for an undisclosed fee. He rejoins the Cowley brothers of whom he played for at Lincoln, and pens a two and a half year deal, with the option to extend for another year.

Here are some of the rumours to have come out today:

According to the Daily Mail, Hull City will be facing an offer from fellow Championship club Leeds United for their highly-rated winger Jarrod Bowen. Leeds will reportedly make a £3 million loan offer, rising to £15 million if they achieve promotion to the Premier League. Hull have already rejected an approach for Bowen this window.

Sky Sports are reporting that Ligue 1 side Amiens want to sign Huddersfield winger Adama Diakhaby on loan. Huddersfield are apparently keen to offload three players this month, with Diakhaby being one of them. The others are Isaac Mbenza and Terence Kongolo, although the latter joined Fulham on loan yesterday.

The Express are reporting that Leeds United are going to have to fight against Celtic to the signing of Manchester City youngster Ian Poveda. The winger has never played for the first team.
